Wooden built Platelayer's Trolley Kit 7640

These were the wheel barrows of the track gang.  Light enough to be lifted off the rails to clear the way for a train, robust enough to carry spare chairs, keys, the sledge, the pick axe, and the long spanners needed to maintain a section of track.  Built from wood they were soaked in creosote like the sleepers and had the same dark colour.

Trolleys are a kit with wheels and need adhesive/ solder and paint to complete.
