LWCL LIGHTWEIGHT COLOUR LIGHT SIGNALS
|
|
LCLS use an arrangement of LEDs to create the signal display required. Groups of 3 LEDs (one green, one amber, one red) create the circular display of 2, 3 and 4 aspect signals, black and white LEDs create lettering or a shape e.g. of a Banner Repeater Signal.
The signals have no platform or ladder and can be lifted out by 2 men, they are “super light”. This enables quick fitting and replacement and minimizes line occupancy. In some locations LED heads have been retro fitted to old signals and the ladders and platforms are retained.
LCLS are positioned as other types of signals.
