Introduced in 1887 to the design of F W Webb for the London and North Western Railway the Jumbo 2-4-0 were used on passenger services. Highly regarded for their good performance they were in 1889 followed by the small Jumbo 2-4-0. The difference between the two classes was in the wheel diameter 6' 9" for the Jumbo and 6' 3" for

Many of the two classes were taken over by the LMS. Non passed into BR ownership.
Loco, chassis and body and tender, chassis and body etches for a Jumbo 2-4-0 and 2000 gallon tender. For information on the tender see tender listing.
To build a model Jumbo further parts will be needed; wheels, motor, gears, paint, transfers and for a LNWR locomotive number plates. The 2mm Association produces many parts which are suitable.
These etches have been reduced from a 4mm etch. The links below go to a pdf copy of the 4mm etch instructions however there are places where the 4mm instructions will not work for the 2mm etch. At these places the builder will need to use their own solutions. The 2mm Association has publications and articles in their magazine which may be of help.
The Cauliflower assembly diagrams can be a help in identifying how the Jumbo etches go together.
